Language Requirements:
A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0. OR a minimum score of 575 on TOEFL. OR an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19)
Eligibility Criteria
"• Demonstrated high-level research, analysis and problem-solving skills to address complex problems with the delivery of innovative program outcomes.
• Demonstrated high-level strong written and verbal communication, consultation and negotiation skills to build effective working relationships.
• Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of legislation, policies and frameworks related to environmental offsets in Queensland or a similar jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated high-level project management skills and the ability to deal with competing priorities, often requiring a fast turn-around.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines and work effectively as a team member to successfully contribute to organisational objectives.
• Contribution to workplace equity and diversity that enriches our culture of innovation, respect and inclusion.
Experience using GIS systems (ArcGIS), complex spreadsheets and databases is highly desirable.
To be appointed to a Senior Policy Officer (PO4) role in the professional officer stream, candidates must have a university degree (undergraduate and/or postgraduate) from a recognised tertiary institution in environmental science, applied science, environmental management, conservation or wildlife biology, zoology, ecology and social science or agreed equivalent. Other closely related disciplines may be considered."
