Job Description:

STI/PIE is looking for a Senior Economist to contribute to the work of the Committee on Industry, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) and of the Working Party of Industry Analysis (WPIA). The selected person will be responsible for managing several projects under the aegis of the CIIE related to the Committee’s work on:
a) business dynamics, productivity and digital transformation, including work on advanced digital technology use by firms and its relation with economic outcomes, such as productivity:
b) Global Value Chains (GVCs) and globalization, including at a granular level, and the role of industrial policies in shaping GVCs.

Monthly base salary starting from 9,567 EUR exempt of French income tax, plus allowances based on eligibility.

Language Requirements:

Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and a knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, the other.

Eligibility Criteria

"A PhD or an advanced university degree in economics, statistics, or a related field. A specialisation in productivity, innovation and entrepreneurship would be a plus.
Eight to ten years’ experience in policy-relevant quantitative analysis in areas related to business dynamics, innovation, and digital transformation, preferably acquired in a policy-oriented environment, international organisation, research institute and/or academia.
Experience with structural, microeconomic policy issues, notably related to productivity, business dynamics, the digital transformation and its role for economic outcomes or Global Value Chains."
