In 2023, the MATE ROV Competition is highlighting the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development and inspiring our global community to embrace conservation efforts that create a sustainable future on our ocean planet.

Perks:
MATE ROV Competition is an annual international competition that challenges teams of students to design, build, and operate remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to complete a series of tasks in an underwater environment. The competition is held at different locations each year, and teams from all over the world compete for prizes and recognition.
Eligibility Criteria:
To compete at the MATE ROV World Championship, teams must qualify at participating regionals in either the Ranger, Pioneer, or Explorer classes. The Ranger class is recommended for middle and high school students who have an intermediate/solid understanding of robotics and electricity
Duration/Schedule:
The MATE ROV World Championship is set for June 22-24 at the St. Vrain Valley School District in Longmont, Colorado
Fees:
$180 USD registration fee for Explorer teams. · $100 USD registration fee for Ranger teams.
